Products formulated without* select chemicals of concern in the following chemical groups: phthalates, propyl- & butyl-parabens, formaldehyde donors, musks, nonylphenol ethoxylates ethanolamines, glycol ethers, siloxanes, and perfluorinated substances (PFAS). Plus, cruelty free and/or not tested on animals.**

*In formulated baby personal care products, formulated without is defined as < 100 ppm of finished product. In car seats, made without is defined as < 50 ppm of finished softgood product including the fabric, foam and labels. **Cruelty free and/or not tested on animals is designated and validated by each brand.

Products that either utilize USDA BioPreferred Certification at 50% or higher or makes an unqualified on-pack "bio-based" statement.

A product that makes a statement on-pack that the final product is 100% biodegradable.

Products that have an independent third-party certification on pack or unqualified on-pack marketing claim relating to being cruelty-free and/or not tested on animals.*

A product that has an on-pack USDA Organic Certification.

Products that either carry an unqualified on-pack statement indicating that the products are free from parabens, or carry an unqualified on-pack statement "no parabens."

Products that either carry an unqualified on-pack statement indicating that the product is free from phthalates, or carry an unqualified on-pack statement "no phthalates."

Products that carry an unqualified on-pack plant-based statement referring to the product (not plant-based packaging).

Products that either make an unqualified on-pack statement indicating that they do not contain sulfates (not added sulfates), or carry an unqualified on-pack statement "no sulfates" or "sulfate-free."

A product that has an on-pack unqualified independent third-party certification or a statement that the entire product (not individual product components) is vegan.

A product that has an on-pack B Corp Certification indicating this company meets high standards of social and environmental impact.

Disposable products are made without chlorine & added fragrances.

Products that have an independent third-party certification on-pack or unqualified on-pack marketing claim relating to being cruelty-free and/or not tested on animals.*

Products that have 1) an unqualified independent third-party certification on-pack, or 2) unqualified on-pack marketing claim relating to the finished product being made with organic cotton.

Products that have an unqualified independent third-party certification related to the product being made in accordance with fair-trade principles in which fair prices are paid to producers in developing countries.

Products that have an unqualified independent third-party certification, or carry an on-pack marketing claim relating to the finished product being gluten-free.

A product that has an on-pack third-party certification or an unqualified statement that the product is non-GMO.

A product that has an on-pack Clean Label Project Certified certification indicating this item has been independently tested for harmful contaminants like heavy metals, pesticides and plasticizers.

A product that has an on-pack USDA Organic Certification.

Products that carry an unqualified on-pack, plant-based statement referring to the product (not plant-based packaging).
